Like some of its neighbors, North Caldwell has a relatively low population (the 2010 census reported 6183 residents). It’s a quiet, family-friendly town a short drive away from northern New Jersey’s entertainment, shopping, and dining, and just 16 miles from Manhattan. Residents also take advantage of the many bike trails, walking areas and beautiful parks.
There are only two townhouse communities and modest commercial activity on either end of town; otherwise, North Caldwell’s housing is single family homes, many of which are set on hilly, wooded roads.
